I know age discrimination is REAL! I had a great job interview last week and was told they would make a decision this week.
Today, I researched the company online and saw they had REPOSTED an ad for the same position YESTERDAY under, “COLLEGE GRAD” wanted on a different webpage.
Youth over experience, I don’t freaking get it.
Something for them to ponder…..more often than not, some companies are used as a stepping stone at the beginning of one’s career. At this stage in my life, if I’m doing what I love, I plan on doing it until I drop!
Ironically, the two people who interviewed me were both well into their 50s. One I know is in her 60s.
Check out my other blog posting. I’ve applied to over 330+ job postings in just 3 months time!
I’ve been ghosted in the job market, grrr!
The Rhode Island Fair Employment Practices Act prohibits discrimination in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, age (40 years of age and older), or country of ancestral origin.
